Myha'la Herrold, Star of 'Industry', Showed Her Support for Thom Browne's Fall 2026 Collection in San Francisco
The talented actress and star of the hit series 'Industry' was in the Bay Area last weekend, cheering on her favorite designer, Thom Browne. Herrold, who is based in New York, made the trip to attend Browne's highly anticipated fall 2026 runway show, which took place on Friday during the lead-up to the Super Bowl. The event, a part of GQ Bowl, was livestreamed from the iconic Legion of Honor museum in San Francisco.
Herrold expressed her admiration for Browne's commitment to storytelling, stating, 'I always love Thom's shows. He is so dedicated to crafting a narrative, not just through the collection but through the entire show experience. It's not just a fashion show; it's a performance art piece.' She particularly appreciated the poem performed by actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen 2nd, finding it deeply evocative.
Three football players graced the runway alongside Herrold: Marcus Allen, a former Steelers linebacker, Justin Jefferson of the Vikings, and wide receiver Deandre Hopkins. Herrold was captivated by the way Browne's garments and structures were presented on different body types, saying, 'I loved seeing [Browne's] garments, his structure, on a different body type.'
Accompanying Herrold to the show was her husband, Armando Rivera, who is also her frequent collaborator. They celebrated their first wedding anniversary recently, and on Friday, they both donned coordinating Thom Browne looks. Herrold wore a Bikini pleated gray maxiskirt and matching sport coat, paired with the brand's signature Hector handbag.
'When I put on his clothes, I embody the Thom Browne character,' Herrold shared. 'So, whenever I wear his clothes, I step into Thom's world. And the team is just wonderful. They are generous and considerate, and I feel like I'm part of their family.'
Following the show, Herrold swiftly returned to New York to catch the Super Bowl. She will remain in the city for New York Fashion Week and then jet off to Paris. Her career is flourishing, with 'Industry' currently airing its fourth season. Herrold will soon head back to SXSW for the premiere of her upcoming film, 'They Will Kill You.'
Herrold expressed her excitement about the show's expansion and reimagining, stating, 'I’m just really happy that 'Industry' is coming out and the audiences are enjoying the expansion and reimagining of our show.' She also noted the positive reception of new characters, saying, 'Our audience has also welcomed some of our new characters with such open arms.' Herrold is eager for viewers to see the season's conclusion, which she believes is particularly strong.
